I've got two different laptops with the same connectivity issues.
One is a Lenovo X1 Carbon and the other is a Lenovo Yoga. Both have the same graphics adapter (Intel HD Graphics Family... I can't find a specific model number anywhere), and they both use almost the same graphics driver (Carbon uses 10.18.10.3496, Yoga uses 10.18.10.3412). They also have the same network adapters (Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260)
I use a Netgear PushTV3000 hooked up to a Hitachi projector via HDMI. I can connect pretty easily the first time around, but after about 10 seconds, the image hangs. The cursor, however, moves around the wireless display no problem - it's just that nothing else will show up. Whatever window was up when the image froze remains up there regardless of what's going on on the laptop - but, again, the cursor moves with no lag. If I "Pause" the connection in the WiDi software on the computer and then Play it, I get about another 10 seconds of life before the same thing. The firmware on the Netgear is up-to-date.
I have one laptop that works without a hitch. It's a slightly older and less robust Lenovo X230. It has Intel HD4000 graphics and an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wireless adapter. Works great with widi.
While writing this I tested another laptop and had the same freezing issue. This one was an Lenovo L440 with Intel HD graphics 4600 and a Centrino Advanced-N 6235.
So that's three newer laptops freezing, and one older laptop with no problem. I can also use my HTC One phone to connect with no issue.
Any ideas?
