I have problems connecting my ultrabook to my Samsung UE40H6400 TV using Miracast (Windows 8.1 Project to Wireless display). What happens is that the ultrabook (Yoga 2 Pro) connects, it changes resolution briefly displaying the intel WiDi logo on the desktop but then it quits. The TV in the mean time is blank just saying "Loading". Sometimes the TV restarts itself in the process...
I am using latest drivers (3960) but the problem has always been there. Very rarely did it actually work and when it did, it was abysmally slow. I have used 2 other ultrabooks I have at home, both with intel HD graphics but different wireless adapters, but the results are still the same.
The TV is 2014 model and using latest firmware. Miracast works fine when casting from my nexus 5 Android phone.
Any ideas on what to try? Is there a way to force Miracast use the 2.4GHz channel instead of 5GHz?
