I want to use a laptop to generate content like PowerPoint presentations and then us WiDi to push the display to a remote screen. Once the connection has been made and the display or PP presentation is started, I want to disable or turn off the local display and only see the remote display. The laptop may continue to run to cycle thru PP or photo slides but the laptop display will be off. The function I am looking for is like where you can use a function key to drive the display to only a remote projector via a VGA port on a laptop.
Is this possible with WiDi?
Everything I have seen has shown the remote display to always be a mirror of the local display.
Can you suggest special settings or equipment that may be required for this kind of activity?
