If I ran into the dreaded "Installation Aborted" message on the WiDi Software installation and found a solution.
My system: ASUS B43S Business Notebook with V-Pro, i5 2520M with Graphics 3000, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230
Having found the correct driver for my Centrino Advanced-N wireless adapter with the help of this forum, I downloaded the recommended (V4) WiDi software, ran it, .Got this:
After walking away muttering why me?, I had a coffee and found the V3 software which worked great. Here's how:
Go to Download Center, choose:
Product family Wireless Networking

Product name Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi)
Select your Operating System
Windows 7 (64-bit)*(5) <- this is mine
