Spotty WiDi connection and disconnection when streaming videos

I have been trying to get WiDi to work on my computer for the past couple of day with little sucess. so i have finally come here for help. i have already done a considerable amount of reaserch so ill te'' ypu what i havw tried so far so we dont repeate. Both my computer and Adapter are WiDi Certified.

problem:

1) widi connects only 50% of the time, when it connects and you try and stream a youtube video or video from local content the frame will brake up and lag by 5-8 seconds eventually leading to the connection being dropped. what happens is that the wireless display program on the computer will not respond and end up having to be forced closed. Than when trying to reconnect it will not find the adapter right away.

2) Upon the wireless display program closing my normal internet connection will drop, it will show the my wireless network as available however it wount connect to it, i end up having to restart my computer to re-establish connection.

3) You can see in the task manager that the widi connection will be transfereing at 10 mpbs fine till you start streamining or do more graphics intensive processes than it will immediatly drop down to 0 mbs, than back to 9 mpbs than to 0 ect, till it looses connection tottaly and the widi application freezes.

Background information:

Im runnig a Dell XPS 12 with latest drivers for centrino wirless card, HD4000 graphics, latest proset wirless software, lastest wireless display software

The WiDi adapter is a Netgear PTV3000 with the latest 2.4.3 firmware, this adapter is proven to work since it connects to my phone fine.

running windows 8 pro

What ive tried:

- Ive tried switiching my computers prefered connection type as 2.4 Ghz instead of 5 Ghz

- Reinstalling all the Proset adn WiDi software

- Updating firmware on the pTV3000

- Making sure im in proximity range (was 1 foot from the PTV3000 so signal was not an issue)

- Rebooting both the PC and the Adapter

- Disabling bluetooth

- Checked to see if my firewall was blocking it, which it was not

Really im not sure what else i can do at this point, any help would be appreciated.
