Widi Issues

I am having problems using widi with a Samsung T.V.

I bought a Toshiba laptop with an i5 processor for our church strictly for use with our Samsung T.V. This laptop connects to the T.V. and works. However, at random times the computer disconnects from the T.V. The T.V. and the laptop are about 10 feet apart. This T.V. also has a Microsoft display adapter connected to it's HDMI (The people who installed the T.V. had no clue what they were doing and told the person in charge of buying the T.V. that he needed it.) which also disconnects from time to time. So I took the laptop home, and connected it to my LG t.v. and it has been sitting here for about 2 hours without disconnecting. We also bought a HP display adapter for the T.V.(This was for its ability to work with older laptops through a wi-fi connection with an older laptop). This worked for a month or two, and then it started disconnecting at random times. So we bought the afore-mentioned laptop. I am now thinking it may be something with the T.V., but I wanted to run it by people with more experience with widi.

My thoughts of what it might be:

- I noticed that the T.V. does not have a surge protector (should be remedied shortly). Could it be an issue with the power (say something coming on dropping the power just enough to mess with the widi receivers, but not turning anything off)?

- If I have the Microsoft wireless display adapter connected, can the fact that the T.V. and the Microsoft display adapter connected to it are both looking for a connection and might be causing interference between one another?

I am really clueless on this one. I would think that it might be that a firmware update for the t.v. might be needed, except that it is doing it to two other devices that are connected through the hdmi inputs.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!
