I'm having the following problem. I work at an office where we're trying to use WiDi combined with Samsung smart TV's as a means to replace the standard beamer set-up for presentations, demo's, etc. We're using Dell Lattitude e5440 laptops(running Windows 7 professional x64) for this. The WiDi connection to the TV's doesn't work most of the time however.
Usually it appears to connect (the laptop screen turns black as if another monitor was just connected) but after half a second it disconnects again, saying there was a problem with the connection.
Sometimes it doens't appear to connect at all.
Sometimes it just works (though this is rare).
I checked for compatibility and all hardware is compatible.
We use Kaspersky Endpoint Security. Disabling this completely seems to help somewhat but in the end it still doesn't work.
Both the Intel PROset Wireless driver and the WiDi driver / client are up to date.
I've tried doing research but nothing I could find helped.
Any suggestions would be extremely welcome as I'm running out of options here ._.
