Hello everyone around, I´m posting to make a few questions about WiDi and comment some doubts.
My computer actually is based on:
- i5-4670 3.4Ghz
- Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260
- HD 4600.
- nVidia GTX 770.
Lets start saying that I tried everything I found to make widi works on Windows 10, but I didnt make it, so I decided to roll back to Windows 7, where I feel more comfortable. After clean installation, I used Widi Update Tool to install drivers for the onboard graphics and wireless PCI card. After that, I installed WiDi software and so I were ready to use it, as long as WiDi Update tool said it.
Well, it works, as long as I plug my HDMI cable into the onboard graphics connector. So here it comes the first question: ¿Is it possible to make it work when I have the HDMI (main monitor) connected to the GTX 770? Or its absolutely necessary to stay connected to the onboard grahpics?
Have to say that I tried lot of ways around that question, setting it as main GPU through BIOS, but dont connect the HDMI, that way the controller isnt loaded, and so WiDI says it wont find the controller. Let me know if thats possible, and how to do it.
On the other hand, when I´m using it, I have an issue about the resolution. When Duplicate mode, resolution keeps on both, monitor and TV, at 1336. But as far as I know, when extended mode, I should be able to be on 1080p on both (yes, the TV supports the resolution: LG 42LB65). So I´m wondering what I´m doing wrong not to be able to work on 1080p on extended mode.
Some more info about controller versions of everything, atlhough I think theyre all up to date.
Windows Device Manager and Control Panel say:
HD 4600: 10.18.14.4251
Wireless Ac 7260: 17.13.11.5
GTX 770: 10.18.13.5900
Software Intel PRO: 17.13.11
Intel WiDi: 6.0.44.0
Intel WiDI Remote (useless app btw): 1.0.0.0
So I really hope you can bring some light about those issued and doubts. Thanks in advance!
