Hi:
I have a HP 350 G1 business notebook. It is running W7 Professional, 64 bit, 8 GB of DDR3 memory.
It has an i3-4005U processor, which according to the specs from Intel, the processor is WIDI capable.
It has the Intel HD4400 graphics, which according to the specs from Intel, the graphics is WIDI capable.
It came with a Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2×2 Wi-Fi Adapter, which supposedly is WIDI capable as well.
Anyway, I removed the BCM card, and installed an Intel Centrino 6230 wireless card I had lying around, which according to the specs from Intel is WIDI capable.
I installed the basic Intel wireless and Bluetooth drivers for the 6230, and the card works great.
However, when I install the latest WIDI software, I get a 'this platform is not supported for Intel WIDI error.
I installed an older version of the WIDI software and it installed but won't open. It runs and quickly closes and I can't read the message that is displayed.
So, my question is...
What am I missing if all 3 components meet the WIDI specs, but I am getting notified that the platform is not supported?
I'd sure like to be able to screen mirror if possible.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
